Fighting Corruption
As a career prosecutor, Thien has held corrupt bureaucrats and corporations accountable. Public office is a public trust, and Thien intends to treat it that way.
Families across CA-6 are being crushed by the rising cost of housing, groceries, gas, health care, and childcare. Thien has prosecuted wage theft and understands what it’s like for parents to stretch every dollar because his family lived it.
As Sacramento County District Attorney, Thien Ho stood up to Trump and ICE, and refused to allow law enforcement in his county to assist with ICE’s lawless deportations.
Thien has taken on violent crime, prosecuted sexual assault, homicides, gang violence, hate crimes, and served as lead prosecutor in the Golden State Killer case. He believes public safety and civil rights go hand in hand.
Affordable & Accessible Health care should be something families can rely on - No family should go bankrupt when someone gets sick.
Thien believes the government must protect individual freedoms for all people. Freedom means the right to live safely and authentically without politicians interfering in your private life.
California is on the front lines of climate change, from devastating wildfires and drought to extreme heat and rising energy costs. In Sacramento, Yolo, and Placer County across the district, families are feeling the impact.
Small businesses are the backbone of communities across the district. They create local jobs, support neighborhood economies, and help define the character of our communities. But too many are struggling with rising costs, workforce shortages, and financial uncertainty.
